Centronuclear myopathy, H&E stained section of paraffin embedded skeletal muscle x 200

Centronuclear myopathy demonstrates central nuclei predominately within atrophic type I muscle fibers. In the more severe X-linked myotubular both fiber types demonstrate enlarged centrally located nuclei.
